About The Show
When it comes to roads,
Hasty Harold is a danger to himself and to others. He gets excited about where he is going and he forgets to think about the dangers that might be around him. That’s right…like many young children….Harold suffers from tunnel vision.
|
| Luckily
for Harold, the Road Safety Rangers have spotted his dangerous
habits from the air and set about trying to teach Harold how
to be road safe. He learns how to be a safe pedestrian, a safe
cyclist and a safe passenger. |

Here are just a few of the things the Road Safety Rangers help Harold with during the show: |
Reggie the Rapping Ranger loves to make rap music on his DJ machine and he invites students to help him make a rap song about crossing roads safely. The crazy sound effects and silly voices that result have students in fits of laughter, but they will never forget how to cross the road safely after this.

|
Becky Bike Safe, the Safe Cycling Ranger flies in to teach Hasty Harold about bike safety. After many hilarious mishaps Harold eventually chooses the right helmet, the right sized bike and learns where and how to ride safely.
|
Buckle-up Bill tests Hasty Harold on his knowledge of seatbelts and child restraints. Once again because Harold is so hasty, he makes a complete mess of the task. Buckle-up Bill helps sort out the mess and in the process teaches Harold, students and teachers which restraints are recommended for each age group, and how to use them properly. |

Finally, a lucky student is given the ‘once in a lifetime’ chance to become a Road Safety Ranger for a day. Students in the audience are in awe as they watch their school mate fly through the air with the Road Safety Rangers and helps them to save people from hurting themselves on the roads. |
While
there are plenty of laughs to be had, this production also very
clearly points out the dangers that exist on our roads, and the
consequences of behaving irresponsibly as a pedestrian, as a cyclist
and as a passenger.
